Choosing a coffin or casket for a burial or cremation can be a distressing decision. We can’t make the choice for you, but our staff are always on hand to show you the available options and answer your questions.
Making it special
Friends and families often like for personal objects to be kept with the body of the deceased while in our care. In many cases, it is possible for such items to be buried or cremated in the coffin. Restrictions may apply, however, to objects made from certain materials, such as metal or glass. We can advise on what can and can’t be included.
Carrying the coffin
While we can always provide coffin bearers, you may wish for friends or family members to carry the coffin instead. Please let us know your preference.
Clothing
In most cases it is entirely acceptable for the deceased to be buried in their own clothes. We welcome your suggestions, and will advise accordingly. In cases of cremation, however, restrictions may be placed on certain kinds of materials.
We are also able to provide dressing or suiting robes that are acceptable to all the applicable authorities.
